Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) is a new technology that is popular and considered promising, and has been used in a variety of fields. It is generally agreed that serious games have a beneficial effect on learning. Combining VR and serious games to deliver specific learning content and enhance the effectiveness of learning is a topic of interest for many researchers. A total of 15 peer-reviewed journals and one conference paper between 2015 to March 2022 were included in the literature synthesis.This report analyzes the use of Virtual reality in serious games, including the types of VR, the benefits and limitations that VR brings. Recommendations for the future implications of VR serious games are provided.
