Abstract

This report aims to review the existing evaluation models that can and are used for interactive learning environments. As Interactive Learning Environments become integral in schools today, evaluation of these learning environments has become a major issue in the education field. Teachers and educators need to evaluate Interactive Learning Environments before implementing them in the classroom. Their educational needs can shape their selection of ILEs, if they have the evaluation criteria and tools necessary to discern effective ILEs. This paper identifies criteria for ILE evaluation that were identified after a careful review of elemental evaluation models as well as ILE-specific evaluation models. This set of criteria attempts to help teachers to select Interactive Learning Environments according to their needs. Methods for implementation of the evaluation are also recommended.
