Abstract

This report attempts to review and summarize literature regarding technology based learning, e-Learning, blended learning, and knowledge management. Since e-Learning has exploded in the past few years, many related studies have been developed toward an empirical examination of its effectiveness in corporate education. I reviewed the background of e-Learning studies to see the current trends. Following that, I reviewed current Korean e-Learning in corporate education: market and new trends. In addition, I reviewed several successful Korean case studies where companies provided Web-based training for their employees. I also reviewed some e-Learning business companies who created these programs. In the review of current uses of e-Learning in corporate education, I focused on three aspects: (1) purpose of Web-based corporate education for employees, (2) current trends of e-Learning for corporate education in Korea, and (3) other findings of this study based on literature review. In conclusion, I discuss the implications of the results.
